Flat Out 'Dieting' Diets, Clean Eating, Celebrity Cookbooks & Dry January, I'm on a rant.

Diets, Clean Eating, Celebrity Cookbooks & Dry January – RANT

Diets, clean eating, celebrity cookbooks and dry January, I’m on a rant.  I wrote this last year but stand by it, so throwing it out again with a few edits for 2019. Newspapers, magazines, the internet, TV, its full of all things dry January, healthy eating, back to the gym and which diet to choose.  You would have a pain in your face looking at and listening to it all.  I’m not generally one for a rant because I tend to just do what I want, when I want, with who I want and exactly how I want.  There are enough rules at work (although I’m lucky there too) without limiting your life with a whole host of self-imposed joy killers. Massage on a Barge

Massage on a Barge

A massage on a barge, the latest Dublin trend in the world of massages. A sunny Friday afternoon and I was heading along to something of a more unusual appointment. I’d been invited as a guest to try out the new massage service being offered on a barge moored on the tranquil waters of Grand Canal Dock. Continue reading

United Arts Club

Jazz Sundays in The United Arts Club

I’ve walked by The United Arts Club at 3 upper Fitzwilliam Street plenty of times. I had a notion that it was some sort of place where generally stuffy people might hang out.  We are all guilty of judging a book by its cover and I’m glad that I had the opportunity to have my notion corrected.  Continue reading

Back in August 2015, myself and the lovely Caitriona from Wholesome Ireland had the pleasure of filming an episode of Aldi The Restaurant. It was an absolute funfest from start to finish.  Naturally we had to keep quiet on who our celebrity chef was, but of course everyone now knows it was Pippa O’Connor. Continue reading

Magee Menswear – A Preview of the AW16 & 150th Collection

While there are some great Irish male fashion bloggers out there like David Cashman and Damien Broderick every so often I dip my toe into the world of menswear.  There are a lot of really great Irish brands and I’m all for supporting our own.  I was invited along to check out the new AW16 range from Magee, a Donegal based brand which has a long and illustrious heritage.  Continue reading

I popped in for a very quick look around as they were getting set up but of course I’ll be back.  Here’s a quick snapshot of what to expect. Continue reading
