East(ern) Delights At The Spencer Hotel

Like many people I’ve a bit of a love hate relationship with hotel restaurants. Often categorised as just a convenient option with little or no expectation of culinary wonder.  With a new breed of funky, drink and dine destination hotels popping up around Dublin the view of the hotel restaurant has been revitalised.  They cater to more than just staying guests now. The hotel restaurant and bar is now a go to place for drinks, dinner and good music, often with a live DJ catering to the clientele. Sheridans Food Festival

Sheridans Cheesemongers will be hosting their sixth food festival on Sunday May 24th 2015 between 10am and 6pm  at their Virginia Road Station headquarters in Co Meath.

A huge array of Ireland’s top food producers will be there to sell, sample and talk about their wonderful foods.

The idea of the annual event is to bring together the people who make the foods and the customers who love it. The criteria for the stalls are that the food is all made in Ireland, is of great quality and that the people behind the stalls are the people who made the food. It will bring together over eighty of the best artisan food producers from around Ireland.

You can find a full list of the producers who will be attending here.

There is also a National Irish Brown Bread Competition which is open to all. Entry details available here.

Entry is €5 per car and it promises to be a great day for the entire family.

You can also follow me on Facebook, (feel free to ‘LIKE’ the page) Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date.
