Rewind Review-Featherblade – Satisfying Steaks

I walked by Featherblade last week and it reminded me of the fantastic meal I had when they first opened.  So here’s a rewind to my original review, which is of course glowing. Continue reading

Marrakesh – The Food

Marrakesh was a culture shock in every sense of the word.  It had been on my list to visit for years and finally in August 2015 I booked a week away.  Ryanair will fly you there in just a couple of hours and the plane tickets are surprisingly cheap.  Okay so I went in a very hot month where it was literally like sitting on the sun with 40 degree heat most days.  Maybe that was why my ticket was so cheap. Papillon in Paris – The Perfect Lunch Spot

I took a trip to Paris at the end of July this year and pretty much ate and drank my way around the city.  A few restaurants I had booked in advance and a few I stumbled upon.  Papillon was recommended to me by Nick Munier and I booked myself in for lunch in advance. Continue reading

So yes please we will gladly grab a table and tuck in, which we did. Continue reading

Brunch by the water at Charlotte Quay

There is something about the area around Grand Canal that I really love. Every time I head to see something in the Bord Gáis Theatre I always say to myself, I must come down here more often.  My pal Sharyn was having a hens night in town and as I’m part of the bridal party (yes we are very progressive these days) I was tasked with finding a brunch spot for myself, herself and her chief bridesmaid Nicola on a Sunday morning. We were staying in the Marker Hotel (fabulous) the night before so of course  Charlotte Quay popped into my head.   Continue reading

Sometimes You Just Want Soup – Medley by Andrew Rudd

Sometimes for lunch you just want a bowl of soup and some bread.  I was sitting at my desk today thinking where is close and serves good food.  Medley by Andrew Rudd is only a few minutes walk from my office. I had been before for an event with the Spanish Tourist Board and the food and service was impeccable.  It has long been on my list to return to so today was the day. Continue reading
