Back in October 2015 I had the pleasure of taking an overnight visit to Dunboyne Castle Hotel. They have a fantastic award-winning spa on site called Seoid Spa. Ready for some hard-core relaxing I did of course try out the facilities which includes a pool, sauna, steam room and outdoor hot tub.
After working up an appetite from all my lying around in the spa, hunger got the better of me. Afternoon tea I decided was the perfect antidote to it. They offer an exceptionally good value afternoon tea which is served in the Terrace Bar. For two people its €30 or you can also opt to add a glass of prosecco each for €45.
No matter how many times I eat afternoon tea I’m always surprised at how filling it is. I look at the tiny cakes and think to myself ‘oh yes they will be gone in minutes‘. Every time without fail my eye appears to be bigger than my belly, but of course I struggle on.
Here’s a rundown of what you get for your €30 afternoon tea at Dunboyne Castle Hotel. Followed of course by a series of pictures to really tantalize your taste buds. If you happen to be in the area its well worth stopping by and trying it out.
