Galgorm Resort & Spa, A Northern Ireland Paradise (even in Wintery Weather)

*This is not a sponsored post, nor have I been approached to write about my visit. I was visiting as a guest of the hotel and I’ve written about it because I absolutely loved it*

I recently took a trip to Galgorm Resort & Spa for a gin tasting evening with Shortcross Gin. The resort is in Ballymena in Co. Antrim and set in over 160 acres of parkland with the River Maine flowing through it. Continue reading

Bach 16 – Ditch The Sweet For A Savory Tapas Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is a popular choice of many.  Pastries, scones and finger sandwiches served with tea and coffee is the norm.  Hotels continually try to outdo each other with variations on the theme; gentleman’s afternoon tea, peculiar afternoon tea, chocolate afternoon tea and art afternoon tea to name but a few.  I’ve tried most and like them all. Eden Bar & Grill – Brunch In Beautiful Surrounds

I’ve been to Eden Bar & Grill a few times for dinner and never been disappointed.  I particularly liked when they had Jamie Nancy and the Blueboys for their evening jazz.  Alas they no longer have live music, but they have always had good food and good cocktails. Continue reading
