City Picnic – Belfast Cafe Dining

I was recently in Belfast to run the marathon. That was a bit of a disaster I have to say, you can read about it here  While there I needed to ‘carb load’ (I’m using that term loosely) so paid a visit to City Picnic.  It’s a simple, no fuss burger and fries kind of place.  The menu is short, appeals to your fat cells (perfect hangover food) and comes on a business card. Review:Glenisk Greek Yogurt Range 

I’ve long been a fan of Glenisk products, so when the opportunity came about to try out their new Strained Greek Style Yogurt range, I was more than happy to oblige.  A delivery promptly arrived (my food deliveries are usually Chinese or pizza in nature) and I got stuck in. It even came with a technical t-shirt which I’ve already worn running. Some information for the craft beer drinkers out there. O’Hara’s  (Carlow Brewing) have added the Sorachi Ace to their line up.  A single hop IPA, which is available to try this weekend at both Cat Laughs and the craft beer tent at Bloom.

It’s the first of the ‘Hop Adventure Series’, which is showcasing  hops from around the world, with Japan as the first. The Sorachi Ace hop has origins in Hokkaido Japan.
