Snapshot of Bruges

Bruges is magical. A fairy tale village with beautiful architecture, cobbled streets, large squares and a series of canals which crisscross it. While in Brussels with work earlier this year I decided to take a day trip to Bruges. It’s just over an hour away on the train and well worth the trip.  In this snapshot of Bruges I’ll tell you where to eat, drink, run (if your that way inclined) and some fun things to do. Marrakesh – The Food

Marrakesh was a culture shock in every sense of the word.  It had been on my list to visit for years and finally in August 2015 I booked a week away.  Ryanair will fly you there in just a couple of hours and the plane tickets are surprisingly cheap.  Okay so I went in a very hot month where it was literally like sitting on the sun with 40 degree heat most days.  Maybe that was why my ticket was so cheap. Papillon in Paris – The Perfect Lunch Spot

I took a trip to Paris at the end of July this year and pretty much ate and drank my way around the city.  A few restaurants I had booked in advance and a few I stumbled upon.  Papillon was recommended to me by Nick Munier and I booked myself in for lunch in advance. Continue reading

Storks – Movie Review

Written by: Nicholas Stoller (Yes Man, Zoolander 2) and Doug Sweetland (animator on Toy Story, Find Nemo). Voices: Junior (Andy Samberg), Tulip (Katie Crown), Pigeon Toady (Stephen Kramer Glickman), Hunter (Kelsey Grammer) and Nate (Anton Starkman)

It’s fun and original and God bless all the parents out there when the kids start asking for little brothers and sisters.

Out of the baby delivery business and into the more lucrative market of  package delivery Stork is a fun, clever and original animation that will no doubt entertain the masses. It tells the story of Tulip, a baby the Storks failed to deliver and Nate a little boy who longs for a brother or sister. Continue reading

Perfectly Simple Pizza – Recipe

Surprisingly easy….

I was sitting at home on a hung over Saturday thinking about what to have for dinner that evening.  Usually if I’m hung over its Chinese or Dominos on the cards. In an effort to not choose the easy option of picking up the phone and ringing someone to bring me food I decided to make some perfectly simple homemade pizza. Continue reading

The Rebrew Project with Carlsberg

The Carlsberg Foundation was set up in 1876 to manage the Carlsberg Laboratory and is celebrating 140 years in business.  There is however another significant date in the history of Carlsberg. In 1883 the Carlsberg Research Laboratory revolutionised the quality of beer with the discovery of pure yeast which made it possible to make quality beer from every brew. Continue reading
