Bruges is magical. A fairy tale village with beautiful architecture, cobbled streets, large squares and a series of canals which crisscross it. While in Brussels with work earlier this year I decided to take a day trip to Bruges. It’s just over an hour away on the train and well worth the trip. Marrakesh was a culture shock in every sense of the word. It had been on my list to visit for years and finally in August 2015 I booked a week away. Ryanair will fly you there in just a couple of hours and the plane tickets are surprisingly cheap.
